Note: If you wish to write an old-fashioned U.S. Postal Service letter, we recommend you mail it to the Senator's DISTRICT OFFICE. Sending it to DC almost guarantees a 3-week delay. Better yet, FAX it.

Lonegan Runs for U.S. Senate
Steve Lonegan, former state director of Americans For Prosperity, has announced his intent to run for the U.S. Senate seat vacancy created by the death of Senator Frank Lautenberg.

In order to get on the Special Election ballot, 1000 signatures are needed. The winner of the August 13th Primary will face the Democrat challenger in the October 16th Special Election. The winner would then serve the balance of the Lautenberg term, and run for re-election in November 2014.
Governor Christie on June 6 named his Attorney General, Jeff Chiesa, to fill the Senate seat in the interim. The appointment would begin June 10.
Chiesa, 47, will serve in the U.S. Senate until residents elect someone to replace him during the Oct. 16 special election. Chiesa has served as New Jersey's Attorney General under Christie since January 2012.
Lonegan is the only Conservative running; for the names of other potential candidates, see PolitickerNJ.
Lonegan is seeking immediate help from Conservatives across the state. You can help by printing out the Petition and gathering signatures. But the deadline is close at hand.
