Why Won't Any President Defend our Borders?
Another piece of the puzzle may have been found by Michael Savage. First it was "the illegals do work American's won't do." That didn't fly, and many conservatives assumed it was the hunt for Democrat votes that motivated the endless supply of illegals ... whence to be granted amnesty and then the right to vote.
But that didn't resolve the questions either. Two days ago, Michael Savage summarized quotes and notes from a number of leaders, pointing to a goal of unifying Mexico and the United States (and Canada) beyond the "North American Free Trade Zone," and closer to the European Economic Union - but under one leader.
On May 22, in a broadcast speech with Mexican President Felipe Calderon, our President said, "In the 21st century, we are not defined by our BORDERS, but by our bonds ... so let us stand together, let us face the future together, let us work together..."
Coincidence ?

PS - Even as the Mexican President accused Arizona of "violating the human rights of all people," the Washington Times reported that Mexico's immigration laws are even tougher!
Odd that the president of a country that is more strict on who it lets in should be criticizing Arizona.
The issues surrounding immigration are NOT whether Americans support immigration. We ARE a nation of immigrants, and have always supported LEGAL immigration. The point of having laws governing immigration is to control the quantity of persons entering the United States to numbers that can reasonably be absorbed and supported, and to apply the rules consistently to all. Protecting the safety of Americans against those who would do us harm is also a consideration.
